At least, the winds were calm with glassy conditions, which ended up lasting most of the day. As the tide started to push, the waves turned on, and the swell bumped up bringing with it super fun, waist to chest high waves. We have an extreme tidal swing, along with some bumpy morning sickness on it. Costa Rica Surf Report for Pavones, Costa Rica Pavones Surf Report Video Pavones Surf Report: The surf was clean and glassy with calm winds this morning, with size holding in the waist to chest high range, despite the extreme low tide. Chocuaco had a small crowd at the moment, due to it being the only spot holding up on a minus tide. Unfortunately, the winds started blowing steady onshore with the rising tide, making the afternoon session a big mess. The conditions are calm and glassy, which may give us a nice window as the tide begins to fill in. We shall see.
