The tide was a bit too low for the corner, and as it started to fill in, the Zancudo winds picked up, creating a rip through lineup. This should glass off, hopefully, before the southwesterly winds build. The top of the point still had some shoulder high waves, but the corner was waist to chest, at best. The swell dropped off this morning with only waist to chest high waves, at the corner, some bigger ones at the top of the point. However, the crowd was still in full force today, frothing for the leftovers of a dying swell. Costa Rica Surf Report for Pavones, Costa Rica Pavones Surf Report Video Pavones Surf Report: The surf was pumping this morning with overhead waves, but it was a blown out junk show from the crack of dawn on, cleaning up only slightly by mid morning, before picking up again. Costa Rica Surf Report for Pavones, Costa Rica Pavones Surf Report Video Pavones Surf Report: The surf was pumping this morning with overhead waves all day. The crowd was on it, and overly aggressive, since we hadn’t had overhead surf in a few weeks. The conditions were super clean and glassy early, but Zancudo winds were making a mess of the corner, by mid-morning, and then the southwest winds started blowing just before noon, blowing out the Point completely.
