Surf Report
The surf is still pumping this morning, with overhead sets still pushing through at the point. There was a bit of Zancudo wind morning sickness on the ocean surface that was creating a bit of a warble and some chop on the waves. That quickly calmed down as a storm approached across the peninsula from Panama and dumped some rain just as I was finishing up the surf report photos. This cleaned up the surf a bit. The tide was dropping quickly and is about to bottom out soon. It’s still glassy out front and should get good on the incoming tidal push if the winds cooperate.
Weather
It’s another beautiful day here in Pavones, Costa Rica. The weather was mostly cloudy this morning in Pavones, with some short-lived rain showers passing through. Late last night there was a powerful thunderstorm that felt like an earthquake from a couple of nearby lightning strikes. The wind this morning was calm and variable, swirling around the Golfo Dulce before glassing off, then picking up again lightly out to the south. There are some rain clouds around the area threatening some more rain showers, but we will see how the day goes.
