Surf Report

The waves in Pavones were mostly waist to chest high this morning. The point was mostly walled out and shutting down through the rivermouth when I checked it at the bottom of the tide, but you could still find a decent section from time to time if you were in the right place. Hopefully the point will improve as the tide fills in. The wind was calm and glassy early, but was already starting to blow out of the south when I went to get some photos. There were only five guys at the point, and the better, though smaller, waves could be found just up the beach where a group of groms were shredding the low tide sandbars.

Weather

It’s another beautiful day here in Pavones, Costa Rica. The weather was partly sunny this morning in Pavones. The wind was calm around the Golfo Dulce early this morning but was starting to blow lightly out of the south by about 10 AM. Hopefully it doesn’t blow out the surf before the tide has a chance to fill in. It started to rain just before noon.
