Surf Report

The south swell seems to have dropped a bit, but there are still mostly waist to shoulder high waves in Pavones.

When I went to the point to take today’s surf report photos, the tide was bottoming out at low tide. The wind was calm, creating super glassy surfing conditions.

The point was mostly walling out and shutting down on the bigger sets at the bottom of the low tide, but conditions should improve as the tide begins to fill in. Some of the better low-tide spots were looking more makeable on the sets.

Another good day of surf in Pavones!

Weather

It’s another beautiful day here in Pavones, Costa Rica. The weather was hot and sunny this morning, with some distant cloud cover around the Golfo Dulce.

The wind was calm throughout the morning, only beginning to blow lightly out of the south shortly after noon.
