Surf Report
The swell is still pumping this morning, with clean, glassy overhead waves all along Bahía Pavón. When I went down to the point to take today’s surf report photos, the tide was still quite low but pushing in fast.
The sets seemed a little bigger today, although not quite as consistent as yesterday, with 15–20 minute lulls between the bigger sets. There were plenty of waves regardless, and surprisingly few people in the water considering how good the conditions were.
There should be more waves on tap for next week, although the swell will likely drop off a little over the weekend. The wind picked up around noon out of the south-southwest but remained light, leaving the possibility of an evening glass-off on the dropping tide.
Weather
Another beautiful day here in Pavones, Costa Rica. It was hot and sunny for most of the morning, with calm winds until around noon, when a light south-southwest breeze developed.
Clouds were building over Altamira earlier, and skies have since become increasingly cloudy. No rain had materialized at the time of this report, but based on how the weather is developing, there’s a good chance of showers later this afternoon or evening.
