Surf Report

The swell picked up overnight, bringing lined-up overhead waves to the point. The wind was calm and glassy early, but had picked up out of the south by noon.

There were good waves all up and down Bahía Pavón this morning. By the time I got to the point with my camera, the tide had filled in and the wind was blowing steadily. Still, there were plenty of good waves coming through and only a few people at the top of the point.

The tide was low early, creating excellent conditions to score good waves on the incoming tidal push.

Weather

It’s another beautiful day here in Pavones, Costa Rica. The weather was hot and sunny all morning, with calm winds until about 11:00 AM, when it started blowing steadily out of the south-southwest.

All this heat will likely draw in some cloud cover shortly, followed by potential thunderstorms later this afternoon or evening.
