Surf Report

The surf was a bit more closed out and inconsistent today, with waves in the waist high to chest high range on the incoming tide. The wind was fairly calm before building slightly out of the west-southwest by mid morning. This created quite a bit of texture on the ocean surface as I was walking back home, and it looked like there wasn’t going to be much time before it was blown out.

Weather

It’s another beautiful day here in Pavones, Costa Rica. The weather was sunny and partly cloudy early this morning, but quickly began to cloud over and threaten rain and thunderstorms by mid-morning. As I write this report, I can hear the thunder erupting, though it still hasn’t rained yet. I expect it to start pouring soon. The wind was calm early, but quickly began to build before the approaching storm.
