Surf Report

The surf looked fun this morning on the high tide, with waves in the waist-high to shoulder-high range. Wind conditions were super glassy early this morning and remained fairly calm before building out of the southwest, which started to create a texture on the surface of the waves. The winds continued to increase as time passed. There were some decent peaks to be found on the incoming tide, but the dropping tide and building winds started to close out the waves at the river.

Weather

It’s another beautiful day here in Pavones, Costa Rica. The weather started out rainy but cleared up shortly after sunrise, turning hot and sunny. It remained that way until the afternoon, when it started to cloud over. We had calm, glassy winds all morning, though it started blowing onshore from the southwest by 10:30 AM. There’s a strong likelihood of rain later today, which just might help to glass off the surf before sunset.
