Surf Report

The swell is still pumping in Pavones with overhead waves at the point. An intense thunderstorm that rolled through late last night, continuing early this morning made for muddy, somewhat disorganized seas. The waves were glassy, with a bouncing warble from the overnight storm, but the sets were firing through the river mouth with light easterly winds.

Costa Rica Weather

It’s another beautiful day here in Pavones, Costa Rica. The weather was wet and stormy at daybreak, pouring down from the skies with heavy thunder and lightning close enough to shake the windows. The rain stopped just before noon, but the cloudy skies threaten to continue throughout the day. Winds were light out of the east, turning more north easterly as I was taking the surf report photos.
